The village elders still talk about the tragic event, which happened in 1918, when a plane flew over their valley for the first time. The aircraft caused a flock of eighty sheep to jump off a mountain cliff and fall to death, blindly following the leading sheep, scared by the unknown.
Surrounded by the mountains, I have been introduced to the concept of fatality, hearing the stories from the past, when people were only going to the high Alpine areas, in the matter of life and death. This photographic research is my attempt to study the mountain's surface for the traces of the perished.
